How does messaging work, do you charge per message?
No. We don't bill per message because we want to encourage usage, not penalize it. Each plan comes with a generous message bundle, and additional bundles can be purchased at a reasonable rate if needed.
Do you support multiple languages?
Simba supports 183 languages. Our platform handles automated messaging in all of them using AI translation. That said, many of our partners prefer to write their own survey questions in the local language rather than rely on automated translation, and we think that's often the right call. We're flexible and happy to work the way your team works best.
Does Simba work in low-connectivity environments?
Yes, Simba is designed for exactly that. WhatsApp and SMS work in most low-connectivity environments, and we have partners operating successfully across remote regions in Africa, Central Asia, and Latin America.

What is Simba best used for?
Simba is built for regular, repeatable data collection: pulse surveys, longitudinal tracking, community feedback, and field research. Surveys are delivered over WhatsApp or SMS, so respondents don't need to download anything or create an account. It works in low-connectivity environments and captures text, voice notes, photos, and GPS location.

Is AI analysis reliable for this kind of work?
Yes, when used appropriately. We use AI for tasks like sentiment analysis, thematic coding, and voice note transcription: repeatable, structured tasks where AI performs consistently and without the fatigue or inconsistency that affects human reviewers. We cross-check outputs regularly and don't use AI as a substitute for human judgment on anything that requires it.
How do you handle data security?
We follow rigorous data security protocols and are GDPR compliant, and we apply GDPR-compliant policies across all of our operations regardless of where our partners operate. We do not sell data or run ads, ever.
